Never enough of Andy Z ...

Thursday, September 9, 2010
and other activities of the day:

we spent the morning singing with Andy Z.  He's great -- if I haven't said that enough!  He saw us, waved, and after the show asked where MG was.  Although he does not know our names, he is familiar with our faces.  He asked where the "older one was."
Every time we see him, he comments on this photo because of our matching shirts last year at the Campbell festival!  Thanks again Amanda for doing this project with us.

The boys had some free time to play with Lily and Brianna.  They really enjoyed this trampoline!

They did some tumbling too!
Then we headed off to meet MG.  Clare and Jim picked her up from school today because of Andy's concert.  I did not want to rush out to get her so we worked it out for Jim and Clare to pick her up.  It was a nice treat for her to have some quality time with them.  They fed her lunch and had some discovery time in the back yard together.  When we arrived, she was doing this:

So I pushed the boys outside and Jim gave them something to do!  They began excavating rocks!  It was so much fun to help Jim clean up the rocks he found in his shed.  He is planning on building a work shed in the back yard so various areas of the yard needs to cleaned up.

The boys were fully entertained for an hour or more!  Jim was amazed that they could keep so busy with a pile of rocks.  Hey, rock to you... treasure to them!  They were cleaning up the rocks and looking for valuable treasures, like true pirates that they are!
After awhile, MG came out to join them!  Uncle Jim, always there to provide some educational talk with the children.  Thank goodness for Jim who knows so much!
Jim also found a pile of his son's, John's, pile of vehicles!  These 3 got down to business and began cleaning them for future play time!
When we arrived at home, MG sat down to complete her homework, while MD began drawing.  We just picked this book up yesterday and he's getting the hang of it.  Although he says the picture he drew is not that good -- I say, pish, posh, that is an awesome picture!  As a matter of fact, I like it so much I am going to blog about it!
Not bad, I say!
